This pleated skirt and cropped top are both non-maternity pieces from my wardrobe. At this stage in my pregnancy, It’s been a challenge finding things in my wardrobe that fit me! I started going through my clothes and setting aside anything with an elasticated waist that I could stretch over the bump. Pleated skirts are stretchy and still give a nice silhouette even when up higher than the waist. Teaming the skirt with a simple cropped top creates a clean, casual stylish look. I’ve been wearing this look out and about doing grocery shopping or running errands. As I’ve said before I am currently living in this slides, they are perfect for walking around the city, especially at over 6 months pregnant! My basket bag I got last summer on Etsy here. Dressing Up The Pleated Skirt
To create a more dressed up look I plan on using off the shoulder cropped tops to give the look more glam! Particularly in the summer months to keep cool and as a fab holiday outfit. I’ve shared my wish list below of my favourite cropped tops and pleated skirts around this season. Each item can easily be mixed and matched to create the same style here with different vibes. Adding heels to the look will also dress it up for evenings out and day dates.
As you can see the bump is getting bigger and higher up! All is currently going well with the pregnancy and our baby is fit and healthy so far, although I did have some sickness back this week, unfortunately. I plan on doing a wrap up of my 2nd trimester as soon as I reach my third. Sharing how I have found this stage of pregnancy, what symptoms I’ve experienced and what challenges I’ve faced.
