Wearing a Black Dress is me in my comfort zone. I love Black and have a LOT of it in my wardrobe. I find it super versatile to either dress up or down. Using different accessories can also give a Black Dress a completely different look and vibe. Getting out and about in the evenings hasn’t been easy for me during pregnancy as I am so tired when it comes to the end of the day. However the other evening I made it up off the sofa and out for dinner with Steve. We went to a lovely spot in Chelsea which is our neighbourhood in Manhattan. It was a short walk from our apartment, meaning I also didn’t have to walk far in my heels! Phew!
I would highly recommend getting a duster to wear over bodycon dresses. For me, it adds that little bit of extra cover up and helps frame my body. Not to mention helps slim my ever growing pregnant body down! I’ve had this one for years and loved how it pulled this cream and black look together.
The Black Dress and Accessories
My Dress is maternity clothing from Ingrid and Isabelle, it’s this dress that gathers at the side. The Black Dress can be worn dressed down in the day too. I’ve worn it with my slides and mules and each time I’ve worn it I’ve loved the feel of the dress and the look of the outfit. My shoes are ages old and surprisingly given the heel height they are super comfortable.
